Locks and Stairs

Stairs, rickety wooden stairs. stairs so old you feel as though you might fall through with each precarious step.

And then the door. locks that don't work right and handles that fall off.

This happens when you're over a hundred years old.

Then the handle turns and you're inside and you're home. you're finally home.
